I like cameras.  I always have.  I got my first “real” camera before I was a teenager… for Christmas, Santa bought me a Minolta SRT 101 with a 50mm lens, and that was it, I have been hooked ever since.

Since then, I have shot with almost every camera under the sun: 35mm film cameras, medium- and large-format cameras, digital SLRs, mirrorless cameras, and rangefinder cameras.  Big cameras, small cameras, and everything in between.

Using cameras is a personal experience, and every photographer has a different approach; there is no right or wrong camera, it all comes down to your own personal preference.  Many professional photographers view cameras as tools: you use the right tool for the job, which means you might have more than one type of camera in your toolbox.

For me, cameras are more like musical instruments.
